The Clue Crew Mystery Book Club: A Virtual Mystery Book Club
What is a virtual book club, anyway?
Most of us have never participated in a virtual book club before, so I thought I would share a little bit about ours, and how it works.
Starting September 1, 2024, and on the first of each month, the Mystery of the Month will go live! As part of your ‘Sleuth’ or ‘Detective’ membership, you will get a code to download the ebook from the author’s store. This will be a full-length mystery novel that is full price for non-book club members in the author’s store. The mysteries will not contain any graphic content and are by best-selling mystery authors.
Here is our lineup of authors over the next few months:
September - ‘Murder Takes a Bow’ by Wendy Neugent
October - ‘Scares & Dares’ by Lucinda Race
November - ‘Murder and Mozzarella’ by Michelle Ford
December - ‘Mistletoe and Mayhem’ by Carly Winter
January - ‘Killer Focus’ by Victoria LK Williams
February - ‘Murder at the Marina’ by Ellen Jacobson
March - ‘Murder at Mile Marker’ 18 by Denise Jaden
In addition to the Mystery of the Month ebook, on the second Tuesday of each month, there will be an exclusive, in-depth interview with the author that is only available in the book club for ‘Sleuth’ and ‘Detective’ members. These interviews are so much fun and so interesting! You will get to know your favorite authors well, and get to meet new to you authors who will become your new favorites.
If you are a ‘Detective’ level member, you will also get access to a live stream each month.
Many of the Mystery of the Month authors also have fun goodies that we’ll be sharing with you!
We will also have a group chat where we can talk about our Mystery of the Month, other mysteries we’re reading, our pets, and anything else you want to chat about! This is a new feature on Patreon, our hosting platform, and I am so excited that we got access to it! What do you want to talk about with your new Book Besties?
Jen and I have lots of fun things planned. One idea we’re both excited about is that we want to read and discuss, Lillian Jackson Braun’s The Cat Who books. I’m a huge fan of that series and Jen hasn’t ever read them. I’m thrilled to get to introduce Jen to one of my favorite cozy mystery series and share my love of it with her and the book club members.

I am starting this book club because the world can be a lonely, stressful place. I love our community of readers and want to build a warm welcoming group where we can all get to know each other better and share our favorite things, books!
